* That wetlands expert who wanted to catalog the lakes in line for acid mine run-off near the iron mining site Walker is demanding. Probably armed with a notebook, or worse, a camera.
* Those tribal camp managers in the Bad River watershed's Penokee Hills offering hikes and other educational information about the interconnections of culture, humanity, water, forests and wild rice-growing beds close to Lake Superior,
* There was that fawn.
* Then there are those singers at the State Capitol and other people - - veterans, moms, retirees, students, firefighters - - with the chutzpah to stand up for their rights on public property.
There might have even be some pesky women there to intimidate Walker and GOP legislators over:
Mandating medically-unneeded ultrasound procedures;
Closing women's clinics, moving public school funding to private schools;
Cutting off health insurance to tens of thousands of low-income Wisconsinites.
* Of course, there was the first wave of Capitol protesters who signed petitions against Walker - - what nerve - - and marched in the snow around the Capitol building after Walker's sprung his trap, refused to negotiate with public sector unions and stripped employees of bargaining rights and take home pay.
And, yes, there were some pretty intimidating signs, like "Walker Go Home." and "Down With Walker" and, "Recall Walker," based on a right (being removed as we speak by Walker's legislative allies) in the State Constitution.
It was The Alamo meets Groundhog Day out there, and those singers - - talk about The Hills Come Alive flashback. I mean, protests with a soundtrack? Stop the intimidation!
So give Walker his due: He has had to to face down intimidation from woodland campers, and on signs and in four-part harmony.
Look at their heavier weaponry - - long-standing treaties, the US Constitution's First Amendment and the State Constitution's water preservation protections known as The Public Trust Doctrine.
