On Stewardship Fund, Walker and Legislators Playing 'Good Cop-Bad Cop'

Walker and his GOP legislative allies cut the Knowles-Nelson open space access fund by 31% in the 2011-2013 budget, so Walker gets good-cop credit for opposing another legislatively-mandated cut in the current, proposed budget from the level they all worked together to substantially cut earlier.

Either way, there will be less open space, fishing, hunting and hiking access for the public in a tourism-recreation-and-water based economy - - a trend that began with Walker's election.
